Understanding Safeguarding Practice for Early Years Staff
This course aims to equip early years staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to help safeguard the children and families they work with. The three modules of this course provide an overview of safeguarding responsibilities for staff working within the EYFS framework. It will enable the learner to identify types of abuse and signs of abuse starting with looking at child development and the factors that can influence it. It details how to respond when you have a concern and how to follow safeguarding procedures. It also explores how to work safely and understand your ‘position of trust’.
