This page will explain how you can make the website easier to read by using features on the EduCare website and features that are built into your web browser and computer.

Text size

Use your browser's zoom to control the size at which you see everything on the screen.   In addition, you can change your browser's settings and most operating systems allow you to change the text size across all applications.  Some of these methods for popular browsers are described below.

Options on your web browser

There are some useful features built into your web browser. How to use these features depends on which browser you are using.

Internet Explorer

Change text size

  • Open the ‘View’ menu (or press Alt + V)
  • Click ‘text size’ (or press X)
  • Click your preferred text size (or use the arrow keys to navigate and press enter to select)

Change colours

  • Open the ‘Tools’ menu (or press Alt + T)
  • Click ‘Internet Options (or press O)
  • Click ‘Accessibility’ (or press Alt + E)
  • Click ‘Ignore colours specified on webpages’ (or press Alt + C)

Google Chrome

Change text size

  • Open the Chrome menu in the top right-hand corner (or press Alt + F)
  • Click ‘Settings’ (or press S)
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Show advanced settings…’ (or press Tab until link is highlighted and then press Enter)
  • Find ‘Web content’
  • Click the dropdown box next to ‘Font size’ and select a size (or press Tab until box is highlighted and then use the arrow keys to select a size)

Change colours

  • Google Chrome does not currently have a change colours option

Mozilla Firefox

Change text size

  • Open the ‘View’ menu (or press Alt + V)
  • Click ‘Zoom’ (or press Z)
  • Click ‘Zoom Text Only’ (or press T)
  • Click ‘Zoom In’ or ‘Zoom Out’ (or press I to zoom in or O to zoom out)

Change colours

  • Open the ‘Tools’ menu (or press Alt + T)
  • Click ‘Options’ (or press O)
  • Click on the ‘content’ tab (or use the right arrow to navigate tabs)
  • Click ‘Colors’ (or press Alt + C)
  • Click ‘Text’ to change Text colours (or press Alt + T)
  • Click ‘Background’ to change background colours (or press Alt + B)
  • Click on your preferred colour (or use the arrow keys to navigate and Enter to select)

Safari

Change text size

  • Open the ‘View’ menu (or press Alt + V)
  • Click ‘Zoom Text Only’ (or press X)
  • Click ‘Zoom In’ or ‘Zoom Out’ (or press Z to zoom in or M to zoom out)

Change colours

  • Safari does not currently have a change colours option
