Anti Bullying Week 2018

Anti Bullying Week 2018

Anti bullying Week 2018 is being held between the 12th and 16th November and is organised by Anti-Bullying Alliance. This year the theme is 'Choose Respect'.

Anti Bullying Week: How can you get involved?

Schools, clubs and organisations across the country will be getting involved to raise awareness of bullying and raise money for the associated charities. EduCare works with two partners in the alliance - Kidscape and Bullying UK/family lives who create and endorse our Preventing Bullying training course for schools. We have also created a course with UK Athletics that focuses on Preventing Bullying in Sport.

1 - Staff bulllying training

Anti-Bullying Week is a good time to encourage staff to take a training course to understand how to support pupils with problems around bullying.

Find a course

Our Preventing Bullying training course is one of thirty courses included in our EduCare for Education® training package. The courses in the package will help schools comply with Statutory Guidance such as Keeping children safe in education, and fulfil their moral and legal obligations to keep children and young people safe.

Preventing Bullying in Sport is included within our EduCare for Sport® packages.

2 - Bullying UK - Wear Blue Day 2018

Bullying UK are asking supporters to wear blue to show support. This can be anything from blue jeans, blue top or supporters could even wear something out there and stand out for bullying.

3 - Kidscape - Friendship Friday

Children across the country are invited to take part in a non-school uniform day that raises vital funds for Kidscape. Pupils donate £1 to come to school dressed in brightly coloured outfits. Kidscape are also inviting schools, families, community groups and work places to hold a #FoodforFriendship event where they share a breakfast, lunch, dinner or cake, enjoy good company, make new friends and raise funds.
