EduCare appoints experienced Sponsorship Manager
As the aftershock of the football abuse scandal continues to affect the Sports and Leisure sector, EduCare has appointed Jo Aldridge, an experienced Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorship Manager to work with our customers and key contacts to support our goal to help keep
Jo Aldridge - Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorship Manager
Jo brings with her a wealth of experience. She worked for British Dressage where she negotiated a range of sponsorship contracts and developed a Corporate Partner programme, owned and managed “Birmingham Knights” Birmingham’s professional basketball franchise, and was responsible for the development and delivery of the commercial strategy at UK Athletics.
Jo also spent 5 years in the Leisure sector working for Tussaud's Group where she
Keep Sport Safe
Jo’s remit is to work with our customers and contacts in the Sports and Leisure sector to ensure our Safeguarding and Duty of Care service meets their needs. She will also develop relationships with key companies to ensure access to the service is not limited by the size of the club or organisation.
Speaking about her new role Jo said: “Sports clubs, NGBs and Leisure providers work in a different way to the education sector where EduCare dominate. Sponsorship opportunities are more common and present a new way of working that would ensure even the smallest, grassroots clubs and organisations can access our robust Safeguarding service. Enabling access in this way will ensure EduCare’s goal to keep
EduCare’s essential service to the sports and leisure sector is a package of online courses that trains coaches, volunteers, office staff, instructors and on-the-ground teams, in the key areas of Safeguarding and Duty of Care. Each course is designed to impart essential information and motivate staff to take action if they suspect something is wrong – whatever their role or responsibility.
