EduCare Advent Care-ndar – Day two
On the second day of our Duty of Care Advent Care-ndar we look to the Grinch, the most notorious Christmas bully and examine the best ways to combat bullying, with or without an army of Whos.
Don’t be a Grinch!
In ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ by Dr. Suess, the Grinch is shown to have been bullied as a child and grows up to be a bully himself. This is a common occurrence in many bullies today.
The way that the bullying problem is solved in the book is one of his victims, a ‘Who’ sees the good in him and reaches out to him to offer love and support. Understanding bullies is a key tool in dealing with bullying behaviour.
