New Course Alert!

In the last six months, EduCare has developed and launched new courses on child neglect and child sexual abuse and now is about to launch a new course on first aid.
Called ‘First Aid Essentials’, it has been developed with experts at West Midlands Ambulance Service - and there’s no better source of expertise than people who save lives every day.
The purpose of the course is to give participants a practical guide on how to handle an incident that may require first aid. The aim is not to teach people how to be a first aider; there are plenty of in-depth training courses for that; but rather, we aim to give someone the confidence to react to an incident when someone urgently needs help.
Many people say they would be worried about getting involved in an incident in case they got it wrong and made the situation worse, but even a little knowledge can be a really big help.
The course comprises three concise modules and questionnaires and there is a dated and personalised certificate for everyone who achieves the pass mark.
Module one focuses on how to react to life threatening incidents and exactly what you need to do to provide basic life support.
Module two looks at serious to life threatening incidents such as choking, anaphylaxis, drowning, seizures and bleeding, burns and broken bones.
Module three covers how to handle non-urgent, day-to-day incidents such as nose bleeds, fainting, insect bites and stings, sprains and strains and sunburn.
We hope as many people as possible opt to study the course because first aid is a life skill that family, friends and colleagues and sometimes even complete strangers, may be grateful for. It costs just £26.00 plus VAT.
Coming soon - Watch out for another new course in the pipeline on Safeguarding Vulnerable Young People.
