How does this differ to EduCare’s online training courses?

EduCare’s portfolio of 35 online courses are written for senior leaders, teachers, support staff and others who work or volunteer with children and young people in schools and colleges. Completion of each learning course is tracked and a certificate issued once the pass mark has been achieved. This is used to evidence learning for inspection authorities and for continuing professional development.

EduSafe delivers the same level of high-quality content straight to parents or young people themselves, without any need for creating a log in or tracking those completions. Content is accessed online and schools can set up a link from their own website, moodle or intranet.

High-quality content

Many customers wanted to capture the information included in EduCare’s portfolio of courses to help inform their community of parents and carers, and the children and young people in their care. EduSafe allows them to deliver consistent messaging on a range of sensitive subjects.

When working with our expert partners to produce our online training courses and where content is appropriate, we simultaneously develop content that can be hosted online and signposted to from our customer schools.

This means that our customers can provide the same, great reliable content to their own community, at no additional cost.

Speaking about the new resources, EduCare’s Pastoral Care Specialist, Dawn Jotham commented:

“Our customers have told us they want content that is written specifically for parents /carers and the young people themselves.

“The resources will help parents/carers to understand safeguarding issues that may affect their children and the young people can also rely on quality resources to help them help themselves and the people they care about.”

Our contributing experts include The Children’s Society, Winston’s Wish, The Children’s Society and YoungMinds. The wide range of subjects embrace mental wellbeing, online safety, first aid, anxiety and healthy relationships.  Each contains ‘need to know’ information and where to go for extra support.
