This EduCare programme embraces the Management Charter Initiative guidelines, and aims to help team leaders and supervisors improve their performance and management skills.
The programme is delivered in eight concise modules with questionnaires and activity sheets to test understanding and is only available in our paper-based format. On successful completion of the final proficiency test, participants will be awarded a personalised certificate.
Module 1 – Teamwork & managing relationships
Look at the SMART approach to setting objectives; improving your delegation skills and planning and allocating work
Module 2 – Managing yourself
Understand how using the Johari window you can assess your performance; to prioritise your workload; to improve your time management and personal development skills.
Module 3 – Managing people
Explore ways to evaluate and choose your staff; how to develop your team and individuals; ways in which you can improve performance through training and how to identify and action personnel development skills.
Module 4 – Managing activities
Learn about effective management, organisation and control; quality requirements and how to meet them; quality systems and improvement and effective problem solving
Module 5 – Managing projects
Examine the key phrases of project management; effective communication; successful leadership qualities and your own leadership approach.
Module 6 – Managing resources
Learn how to improve financial management by controlling and overheads; manage people, materials & equipment and use cost consciousness at work.
Module 7 – Quality & energy efficiency
Understand how to achieve quality objectives; quality assurance for products and services and effective energy management.
Module 8 – Managing information
Look at the eight steps to effective information management; how to plan to get the most out of your meetings and efficient and effective chairmanship
In order to complete the programme successfully you must complete the proficiency paper at the end of the programme, if you answer 80% on the proficiency test you will receive a personalised certificate, feedback detailing your scores for each section and a set of answer explanations.
