This introductory EduCare programme is aimed at managers who have the special responsibility of leading a team. It gives staff the tools and understanding to help them develop their own management competence to become effective and confident supervisors.
The programme is delivered in five short modules with questionnaires to test understanding concluding with a final proficiency test. On successful completion participants are awarded a personalised certificate.
Module One – Motivation and delegation
Learn about positive motivation; the seven rules of delegation and how to get people to do the things you want them to do.
Module Two – Working with others
Examine the basics of good communication; how to develop relationships with staff and where the common problems lie.
Module Three – Developing your team
Understand the importance and benefits of training; the supervisor’s role in training; how and when to coach people and the principles of good coaching.
Module Four – Teams
Explore how to create an effective team; the eight steps to a successful team and the different elements that make up a team.
Module Five – Managing time and quality
Learn to improve time management; define quality and understand the basic concepts of TQM.
In order to complete the programme successfully you must complete the proficiency paper at the end of the programme.
If you score 80 per cent or more on the proficiency test you will receive a personalised certificate, feedback detailing your scores from each module and a set of answer explanations.
